The Bible does not endorse homosexuality

Let's get one thing straight. The Bible does not endorse or support homosexuality at all. It condemns it (along with many other behaviors) as sinful and wicked, declares it is not acceptable to God and says it will prevent the practitioner from having a relationship with God and spending eternity in Heaven with Him.

Let's quote: 

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Leviticus 18:22

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. Leviticus 20:13

For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things. Romans 1:27-28

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived; neither fornicators,  nor idolaters,  nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind...shall inherit the kingdom of God. I Corinthians 6:9-10

One can argue all day and night that this verse really means that and that word really means this in the original Greek, but there is no getting around it - the overall thrust of the Biblical commentary on homosexuality is that it is not OK and is not acceptable to God. Those who want to pretend that You can be gay and please the God of the Bible are merely fooling themselves so they can do what they want and feel good about it. They won't feel so good about themselves or anything else come Judgement Day. 

And yes, yes, yes, there are many other sins that are unacceptable to God. The heterosexual pervert will be in hot water on the J Day also. But what does that have to do with whether homosexuality is acceptable to God or not? Not a darn thing. Pointing and yelling, "Look, God, those straight people are sinners, too," won't help.

No God doesn't hate gays. The Bible says He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, and that He sent His Son Jesus into the world that all might be saved. I don't hate gays either. If God doesn't why should I? If He wants all to be saved then I do too. But He has something not that many humans have anymore - standards. And you can't violate His standards and expect to enter into Heaven. 

So if you want to be gay, go ahead. Please don't pretend, however, that it can be a part of Biblical Christianity. 

Even more corruption from the Obama administration

What a week for corruption. The administration seems bent on compiling an unbreakable record of constitution-trashing and general stupidity.

To recap:
   * The White House and State Department lied like dogs about what happened in Benghazi last fall. We all ready knew this, but now we have testimony before Congress proving the point.
   * The IRS has been targeting conservative groups and individuals for harassment. Now why would they do that? And during a presidential election season.
   * The poorly named Department of Justice  (Minijust?) secretly obtained phone records of the Associated Press news agency. Uh oh, done ticked off a major player of the MSM.

The administration all ready had a laundry list of offences - Solyndra, Fast and Furious, election fraud, selective non-prosecution, endless expensive vacations, illegal war in Libya, support of the disastrous Arab Spring, sucking up to Muslims leaders, failure to support Israel, etc. - not to mention general hubris, arrogance and disgustingness. I guess they are working on the grocery list now.

I am not really a hater. I don't really even hate the Texas Longhorn football program. But I have come to hate the Obama administration and what it is doing to this country. These bozos can't depart soon enough. Times like this make me wish we had a parliamentary system so we could call for a vote of no confidence, hold elections and get these crooks out of office before it is too late.

I am mad.

I have been mad, disgusted, irritated, worried, scared, disappointed - did I say mad? - lately, and haven't felt much like writing. Even my favorite diversion, Arkansas Razorback football, has been a total bust this year and I have not been able to find any solace therein.

We seem to be surrounded by lying, cheating, stupidity, ignorance, immorality - did I say stupidity? - lately, and it seems to be getting stronger and more prevalent by the moment. The worst and most maddening example is of course the outcome of the presidential election. Either a majority of Americans who bothered to vote chose a communist bent on destroying our time-tested-honored American way, or the immoral end-justifies-the-means Democrats cheated enough to make it appear as if they did. Whichever is the case, we are stuck with that horrible, disgusting man as president for four more years. I expect the worst - an end to prosperity and worse, an end to our constitutional republic and a move to create a permanent one-party oligarchy, and all the detestable details that go along with that.

I am mad at the stupid, greedy, selfish, ignorant people who voted for the Obama - the African Americans who voted for him simply because he is black, and the blacks, Hispanics, women, white liberals  and other fools who voted for him because they want the passing out of government goodies to continue and expand. These idiots fall into two categories - those who understand that Obama is out to destroy our constitutional system and make the US into a complete welfare state dependent on and subservient to the Democrat-controlled federal government - and those who don't. I completely get now why the founding fathers limited the vote to white men who owned property.

The goon in the White House is only one huge problem. Israel, our close friend and ally (not to mention God's chosen people) is under attack again, and this time there is an Egypt to the left that more than likely will soon turn on her. And - back to the goon - there is a real question as to what support the United States would offer Israel should push come to all out war. In the past Israel has always come out on top in these dust-ups, but the Us had her back. I am not so sure we do anymore, courtesy of the goon. Then there is Iran to the right on the map, rapidly developing peaceful applications of nuclear energy - or, just maybe, a bomb. Israel has every right to be left in peace and it angers me that they have to continually fight for existence.

Then there is the cornucopia of lunacy delivered by the daily news. San Francisco debating whether to let people go naked anywhere they want to in public. Oh, and San Francisco offering to pay for sex change operations. Santa Monica bans 60 year tradition of Christmas displays because atheists complain. States vote to allow marijuana and gay marriage. On and on.

The world - and especially, the United States - is going down the drain, and it's a crying shame. The United States has been the greatest nation in history and not just because of economic and military might. The US has stood as a city on a hill, a beacon of liberty, freedom, opportunity, morality and the Christian gospel message, and that is all dying rapidly. I am against that and am willing to oppose the process but it seems to be an inexorable avalanche.

So I am mad and disgusted. I don't feel like being thankful this Thanksgiving. What I feel like is shouting obscenities at the fools who are killing this country. I suppose I won't do that as it would only contribute to the downfall.

Come Lord Jesus. get this mess over with.

James Biden, brother of VP Joe Biden, is a minority investor in a company that has been granted a contract to build 100,000 houses in Iraq. He stands to make many millions from the deal. He doesn't appear to have much in the way of qualifications to receive such a windfall, other than being bro to our numbskull VEEP. 

Why isn't this story of cronyism, corruption and graft at the highest levels all over the news? This is a huge reason Obama must go - he has used the 

presidency to hand out billions of tax payer dollars, government guaranteed loans, contracts to friends and now relatives. This is the most blatant form of corruption and it is an everyday occurrence for the Obama administration. The Chicago thugs managed to get control of our national government and are milking it for all its worth. The whole administration should be in jail. Step one is to vote them out, step two will be to turn federal prosecutors loose on them.

And why is the US government in the business of building houses in Iraq anyway? Or in a lot of other areas that government should leave to private enterprise? Creeping socialism has crept too damn far. It is time to roll back the tide. I am hoping Romney will do that. We sure know what Obama is up to.
